DS00002329D-page 83 KSZ9567R 5.1.4.11 Switch Lookup Engine Control 0 Register Address: 0x0310 Size: 8 bits Bits Description Type Default 7 802.1Q VLAN Enable This is the master enable for VLAN forwarding and filtering. Note that the VLAN Table must be set up before VLAN mode is enabled. 1 = VLAN mode enabled 0 = VLAN mode disabled R/W 0b 6 Drop Invalid VID 1 = All received packets with invalid VLAN ID are dropped. 0 = Received packets with invalid VLAN ID are forwarded to the host port. Note that the Unknown VID Forwarding feature (Unknown VLAN ID Control Register), if enabled, takes precedence over this bit. R/W 1b 5:3 Age Count This bit, in combination with the Age Period value (Switch Lookup Engine Control 3 Register), determines the aging time of dynamic entries in the address lookup table. This value is used for the Age Count field whenever a dynamic table entry is updated. R/W 10_0b 2 Reserved Multicast Lookup Enable 1 = Enable Reserved Multicast Table 0 = Disable Reserved Multicast Table R/W 0b 1:0 HASH_OPTION Defines the hashing option for mapping entries to the dynamic lookup table. 00, 11 = Entry is mapped directly using the 10 least significant bits of the destination address. 01 = The CRC hashing function is used. 10 = The XOR hashing function is used. Refer to Section 4.4.2.1, "Address Lookup (ALU) Table," on page 28 for additional information. R/W 01b |
