A 10µF input capacitor and a 4.7µF output capacitor are suggested. The voltage rating of these capacitors should exceed the maximum possible voltage at the corresponding pins, and these capacitors should be as close as possible to the IC. Table 25 shows the recommended capacitor vendors. Table 25. To decide the current rating of the inductor required for the application, the following equation can be used to estimate the peak inductor current IPEAK in continuous conduction mode (CCM): where VOUT(MAX) is the maximum output voltage, VIN(MIN) is the minimum input voltage, IOUT(MAX) is the maximum output current, FSW is the boost converter’s switching frequency, L is the inductor value, is the boost converter’s efficiency under that condition. Table 26 shows recommended inductors under different application conditions. Table 26. The average current rating of the schottky diode should exceed the maximum output current, and its peak current rating should exceed the peak inductor current. Its voltage rating should also exceed the OVP setting. Table 27 shows the recommended schottky diode. Table 27.
