Turn on the power.

Wait for 15 ms or more after VDD has reached 2.7 V or higher.

Check the busy flag for No Busy.

Set “Number of LCD lines” and “Font size” with the Function Setting Instruction. (After this, the

number of LCD lines and the font size cannot be changed.)

Check the busy flag for No Busy.

Execute the Display ON/OFF control Instruction, the Display Clear Instruction, the Entry Mode

Instruction and the Arbitrator Display Line Setting Instruction.

Check the busy flag for No Busy.

Initialization is completed.
