Converter Design TheMTRconvertersareconstantfrequency,pulse-width modulatedswitchingregulatorswhichuseaquasi-squarewave, singleended,forwardconverterdesign.Tightloadregulation ismaintainedviawidebandwidthmagneticfeedbackand,on singleoutputmodels,throughuseofremotesense.Ondual outputmodels,thepositiveoutputisindependentlyregulatedand thenegativeoutputiscrossregulatedthroughtheuseoftightly coupledmagnetics. Indefiniteshortcircuitprotectionandoverloadprotectionare providedbyaconstantcurrent-limitfeature.Thisprotective systemsensescurrentintheconverter’ssecondarystageand limitsittoapproximately140%ofthemaximumratedoutput current. MTRconvertersareprovidedwithinternalfilteringcapacitors thathelpreducetheneedforexternalcomponentsinnormal operation.UseourFMCE-0328™,FMCE-0528™orFMCE- 0828™EMIfiltertomeettherequirementsofMIL-STD-461C CE03andCS01and/orMIL-STD-461D,EandFCE102and CS101levelsofconductedemissions.
