Bi-Directional IEEE 1284 Parallel Cables

Currently, the IEEE 1284 standard incorporates three enhanced interface connectors; Type A Connector: 25

way D Plug Type B Connector: 36 way Centronics Plug Type C Connector: Micro 36 way Centronics Plug

Most IEEE 1284 printers require a Type A to B which is an industry standard 25 D plug to 36

Centronics plug type cable. However, in more recent times the micro 36 pin Centronics connector is

being used.
