The CMD170P4 is a GaAs MMIC driver am-

plifier housed in a leadless 4x4 mm plastic sur-

face mount package. The CMD170P4 is ide-

ally suited for complex communications sys-

tems where small size and high linearity are

needed. At 8 GHz the device delivers 30 dB of

gain with a corresponding output 1 dB com-

pression point of greater than +28 dBm. The

CMD170P4 is a 50 ohm matched design which

eliminates the need for external DC blocks and

RF port matching. The CMD170P4 is also

equipped with an on-chip detector for applica-

tions where power leveling is required.
